P&V RESIDENCE LES CROZATS
RESIDENCE LES CROZATS
The Crozats is a development of 4 apartment buildings in a dominant position close to the centre of the resort. Each apartment builiding is names after stars and are called Atria, Altaïr, Alhéna and Electra. The apartments offer unobstructed views of the mountains and the lake, whilst most of the site is south facing. The residences also offer a cardio-training room, sauna, hammam, jacuzzi®. Each apartment building has ski-in ski-out apartments.
The Architecture
The architects of the Crozats are Jacques Labro, who designed the resort, Christian Rey-Grange and Simon Cloutier, and they have kept the four new buildings totally in keeping with the architectural stye of Avoriaz, including the stepped roofs to retain snow cover and the red cedar facades. The projecting balconies boast stunning views and attract maximum sunlight.
Each apartment offers regional-style decoration in the Alpine tradition, where wood is predominant and includes furniture with clean, simple lines amidst subtle colours: from slate grey to fawn. The large window openings ensure the apartments have brightly lit interiors.
The Environmental Concerns
With a development such as this minimising the environmental impact was vital, thus the project was restricted to already developed sectors containing neither woodland, nor plant or animal life. The construction work has also adopted a “green building site charter”. The buildings have been constructed for low energy consumption at high altitudes, in accordance with French Very High Energy Performance (THPE) standards, and integrating renewable forms of energy. The developers have also given priority to renewable or recycled materials with environment-friendly credentials. There have also been efforts made to minimise water requirements. This is a Flagship project in partnership with World Wide Fund for Nature-France
