St. Tropez is a place where everything is famous, especially the beaches. The place became famous in the 1950’s when writers, artists (e.g. Picasso) and business people were charmed by the port. With all the famous people going the place quickly gained a reputation as one of the luxurious places. Night life is very vibrant there, and it is not rare to see glamorous people ‘entering’ the city by helicopters; due to so many well known personalities people watching is one of the favorite pastimes. In the mornings you can enjoy flower, fruit and vegetable markets as well as buying fresh fish from local fishermen.

Avignon fortified historical city, superb architecture and the theatre, which started its famous relationship with the town in the late 1940’s. The annual theatre festival is a very special event attended by thousands of spectators who come from all over the country to admire the well known and newly discovered talent. Marseille the second largest and the oldest city in France and the third metropolitan area. It was founded by Greeks from Phocaea as a trading port. Marseilles' harbour is the biggest in the country, and one of the most important of the Mediterranean Sea. The old town ("Panier") and port, the cliff road high above the sea, the wild inlets plunging into the deep blue water, this is the Marseilles of the tourist guide. But the commercial port, the airport, the oil industry, the large population all play an important part in the economic role of the whole of Provence and complete the picture of a city rich not only economically but in culture, art and science. To discover its unique character and beauty, one must leave the centre of town and explore some of the "quartier". Each quartier is a little Provencal village of its own with a church, a playing area for the game of Boules and the obligatory plane trees.

Cannes from the Middle Ages until the early 19th century, Cannes was a small agricultural and fishing village. In the 1830’s the village started gradually turning into a resort town. Lord Henry Peter Brougham was mainly associated with the town growth. His daughter and himself were on the way to Italy but, thankfully for Cannes, never made it. He was so charmed by the hospitality and warm welcome of the locals that he decided to stay in the area and build a house. Within a few years, the little fishing village turned into a town with its pretty villas and châteaux. Cannes became the "aristocratic city par excellence" according to Gabriel Charmes’s expression and its excellence is still with us.The crystal blue waters of the Med make the area one of the treasures of France and extremely popular with tourists from all over the world. Cannes is rightfully world famous as being a playground for the rich and famous with prestigious marinas, designer boutiques and five star hotels in abundance. In the 1940’s after the war it finally become known as ‘Capital of Cinema’.
