Golf competition winners awarded trip to Portugal
Date: 25 Aug 2010Goring and Streatley golf club members Steven Shears and Mick Tombs will be jetting off to the Monte da Quinta Club after triumphing in the club’s “Road to Portugal” competition. Tombs, 40, described the reward as “the best prize in golf I have ever won” - quite an endorsement from a two-time winner of Goring and Streatley’s Player Of The Year award.
Shears, who plays off eight, and four-handicapper Tombs both recorded nett rounds of 65, having shot 73 and 69 respectively, to top the leader board and win a place in November’s grand final. Excited golfers from across the country will join the pair in the Algarve for seven nights at the Monte da Quinta resort and two rounds of golf on the Quinta do Lago South course. Going abroad to play golf in a competition is an exciting prospect, especially in the exclusive Quinta do Lago villa resort offering luxury holidays alongside championship golf courses.
Monte da Quinta Resort is perfect for golfers looking for villas in Portugal, offering high quality accommodation with excellent onsite facilities. These include a spa, shop, restaurant, shuttle bus, fitness centre, outdoor and indoor pool and choice of fantastic golf courses at discounted rates.
